Lawler man identified as the person who died in rollover accident on Locust Road

A Lawler man has been identified as the person killed early Sunday morning in an accident on Locust Road.

27-year-old Rob Loftus failed to navigate a slight curve in the 3100 block of Locust Road around 4:00 a.m. Sunday.  The car went into a ditch and rolled over, coming to rest on the passenger side.  Loftus died from injuries received in the crash

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department, the Decorah Fire Department and Winneshiek EMS.

A memorial mass for Loftus will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Lawler.
