Tickets go on sale to the public November 1st for "Christmas at Luther 2016"

Tickets to the 2016 Christmas at Luther concerts will go on sale to the public November 1st.  Tickets cost $25 to $35 and may be purchased online at www.tickets.luther.edu or may be purchased through the Luther Ticket Office (call (563) 387-1357 or e-mail boxoffice@luther.edu)

"Christmas at Luther" will have five performances: 5:45 p.m. Thursday, December 1st; 6:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Friday, December 2nd; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 3rd; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 4th.

The 2016 production, titled "Out of Darkness, Light!," symbolizes the season of Advent with the darkness and coming of Christ the Light.  Musical selections to be performed include the carols "Still, Still, Still," and "O Come, All Ye Faithful." Audiences can sing along with Luther ensembles on the traditional Christmas hymns "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" and "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," as well as "Light Dawns on a Weary World."

The concert showcases the talents of more than 500 musicians, including those in Nordic Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Cantorei, Cathedral Choir, Aurora, Collegiate Chorale, Norsemen and the Luther Ringers.
