Spillville resident Bonnie Adams leads "Star" as Bluffton resident Lonnie Pierce and Decorah resident Sally Koop work as sidewalkers for Bobbie, who is almost completely blind and deaf.

Disabled Veterans from all over the United States have gotten horse rides, thanks to volunteers from the Thunder Rode program in NE Iowa.

Thunder Rode, a therapeutic horsemanship program for individuals with special needs, has been providing horse rides for the National Veterans TEE Tournament for the past six years.  The purpose of the TEE Tournament is to provide a venue in which veterans with disabilities can develop new skills and share camaraderie with others.
