Residents reminded of Medicare open enrollment period

Decorah area residents who have Medicare Part D coverage are being reminded that the open enrollment period for next year will begin on Saturday.  Any changes made will become effective January 1st.
 
Free counseling is available from volunteers for Iowa's Senior Health Insurance Information Program.  SHIIP counselors in Decorah can help people compare plans for 2017 during the open enrollment period.

SHIIP counselors are available by appointment, Tuesdays through Thursdays, at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, by calling 563-387-3036.
