Pop rock band Parachute has been booked to perform at Luther

Over the years, the Luther College Student Activities Council has attracted some well-known entertainers to campus.
 
It started with a concert by Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds from the Dave Matthews Band—a visit to campus that led to the issuance of a CD of the concert.  Over the years, Luther SAC has also booked concerts by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Colbie Caillat, FUN., Nick Jonas, Pentatonix, Jason Derulo, Ingrid Michaelson, Ben Folds and Jason Mraz.
 
This year's major concert will be Saturday, November 19th and will feature Parachute.  Members of the pop rock band went to high school together in Charlottesville, Virginia.  After graduating from college in 2008, the group changed their name to Parachute and toured with bands such as The Script, Switchfoot, Kelly Clarkson, The Goo Goo Dolls, 3 Doors Down, Secondhand Serenade and again with Kelly Clarkson.
 
The pop rock group has released four albums, five EPs and several hit singles.  Their most recent album, Wide Awake (2016), features the hit song "Without You."
