Over 8,500 people ran in the Twin Cities Marathon in Minneapolis last weekend. A Decorah resident was the fifth person to cross the finish line.
Adam Bohach is a Decorah High School biology teacher and a Luther College alumni. He crossed the finish line in 2:19:29. That was a personal best time for Bohach, who had completed the Chicago Marathon in 2:20:58.
"It was a perfect day in the Twin Cities for a marathon and I have to say, it was a near perfect race for me," Bohach tells decorahnews.com. He notes that unexpected things can happen during races, but this race went very well and he was very pleased with the outcome.
Also running the the Twin Cities Marathon and doing well was another Decorah runner, Heidi Skildum. Her time of 2:58:35 placed her 16th among all the female runners.
