Decorah area realtors to raise money later this month for flood relief fund

Plans have been announced for an additional fundraiser to help support the victims of this year's floods in the Decorah area.

Members of the Northeast Iowa Regional Board of Realtors are organizing an event for Thursday, October 27th at the Cedar Valley Iowa Realty Auction House at 1668 Jordan West Road off Highway 9.

The evening will begin with a light meal at 4:30 p.m.  At 6:00 p.m. Luther College graduate Chris Norton will speak about "Inspiring others to overcome adversity."  His speech will be followed by a live auction at 7:15 p.m.

Decorah area realtors say every dollar received will be distributed to people in the area.  They also say people who have been affected by the flooding can contact a realtor for an application for flood relief assistance.
