Another Letter to the Editor by Winneshiek County Republican Party Chair Thomas Hansen

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Winneshiek County Republican Party Chair Thomas Hansen):

"One last response. One of the most often used excuses when someone gets their hand caught in the cookie jar is to place the blame on the person who left the cookie jar where it could be reached. This is Randy Haugen's tactic. Yes, I am trying to teach a lesson in civility, as well as respect, tolerance, the rule of law and justice. The last of these, finding the person(s) who did this, will be a hard task but not an impossible one and accomplishing the hard tasks have much more fruitful benefits to society than doing the easy ones, like replacing the sign which only says "here, have another try" as exampled by the theft of the Trump yard sign from the same location two days ago. Nothing ever changes until the cost becomes too high to assume the risk. This happened to us at the Winneshiek County Fair and our response was apparently not strong enough, I am not making the same mistake twice. Now we are done."
