Decorah native Andrew Casper joins local law firm

Decorah native Andrew Casper has joined the Putnam, Fern & Thompson Law Office in Decorah. 

Casper holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Northern Iowa and a juris doctorate from Drake University Law School. He is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.

Casper's practice will focus on criminal defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, family law, real estate transactions and estate planning.

While at Drake, Casper was a finalist in the school's First Year Oral Arguments competition and a member of its National Mock Trial Team and the Order of Barristers national honor society. He also served as president of the Drake University Moot Court Board—during which he worked closely with faculty members, students, area attorneys, and state and federal judges—and received the school's 2015-16 Student Bar Association Outstanding Student Leader Award.
