NICC offering a discount for early registration of its "Celebrate Women" event

Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar is offering early bird registration discounts through next Friday for a women's event on November 4th.

"Celebrate You!" will run from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. that evening, featuring shopping, education sessions, wine, hors d' oeuvres, and a dessert extravaganza. The evening includes a winter-themed fashion show, hosted by event sponsor, Modish of Decorah and a variety of education sessions including, "Bringing Your Inner Beauty Out", "Keep Calm and Nom Nom Nom: Guided Mindful Eating Meditation", "So Easy, Yet Such Pretty DIY Re-purposing Holiday Decorations" and "A Holistic Harvest". Shopping with over 15 vendors is also available. Door prizes will be drawn at the end of the night.

Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable foods and goods to the event. Items collected will be donated to the Winneshiek County Food Pantry. Event sponsors include Blooms on Main in Ossian, State Bank in Calmar, Modish in Decorah and Empty Nest Winery in Waukon.
