The Medical Examiner for Park County, Montana, where Decorah resident Mark Rollins was reported missing earlier this week has confirmed that the body recovered in a wooded area Wednesday was that of Rollins.
Al Jenkins says his identification of the body as being that of Rollins was easy, since an Iowa driver's license and other personal items were discovered in the clothing of the body.
Rollins had last been seen September 20th by a group of hunters. He was hunting alone. When the group of hunters returned to their camp and did not see any signs of Rollins, they filed a missing person report with the Park County Sheriff's Department. That set off an extensive ground and air search. A search dog team found Rollins' body around noon Wednesday, but at first the body was not identified.
Jenkins, the Medical Examiner for Park County, completed an autopsy of the body and confirmed it was that of Mark Rollins.
