The Park County Sheriff's Department in Montana has issued an updated news release about their search for a Decorah man in the wilderness:

"At around noon today (Wednesday), one of the Western Montana Search Dog teams located the body of a deceased adult male within a mile of the point last seen. We are unable to identify the deceased person at this time.  However, we have no other reports of missing persons in that area. The male, clothed in camo, was located at the bottom of a cliff. Evidence found at the scene indicates the man had fallen off the cliff.  The body was recovered this afternoon and transported by helicopter to the trailhead and then to Livingston, Montana by vehicle. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow morning.

The statement concluded, "These situations are extremely difficult on family members as well as those involved in the search efforts. Please keep all involved in your thoughts and prayers. More information will be released when we are able to do so."
