Ask Mr. Answer Person: "Has the statue on Dug Road been damaged in the flood?"

There might be debris in the Upper Iowa River, but the Dug Road statue isn't affected

Jan e-mails Mr. Answer Person: "How has the statue on Dug Road fared with the washouts, etc.  happening?"

Mr. Answer Person says: "The statue is doing just fine!"

While a significant part of Dug Road has washed down the hill, an even bigger portion has not.  The trail is closed to through traffic, but there's a long part of the trail that is still open.

Fortunately, the part with Minneapolis-based Doug Freeman's statue is included in the part of Dug Road that is undamaged.  Mr. Answer Person is sharing a few photos, just in case you don't believe him--which is never a good idea!
