The three finalists have been announced for the "Sustainable Campus Competition"--and Luther College is not one of them.
The school had been selected from 226 colleges and universities nationwide as one of the semifinalists in the contest. Luther's entry involved electricity metering for its residence hall rooms.
However, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education has announced it has selected Oberlin College, Indiana University and the University of Washington as its three finalists.
One of those three schools will be selected October 10th and will win a grand prize of $50,000 toward a sustainability project on their campus.
