While people living along the Cedar River in both Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids are busy sandbagging and trying to prepare for rising river levels, the situation is quieter now along the Upper Iowa River.

The USGS reports river stages on the Upper Iowa River at both Bluffton and Decorah have been falling on Saturday.  Along the Turkey River, river levels at Spillville have dropped dramatically since Friday.  However, levels are still high at Elkader and at Garber.
