The National Weather Service La Crosse Office says flash flooding is occurring across parts of Allamakee, Chickasaw, Floyd, Howard, Mitchell, Fayette, Clayton, and Winneshiek counties in Northeast Iowa; and Clark, Crawford, Richland and Vernon counties in Wisconsin.
Hourly rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour have been reported across parts of Northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin. These rainfall rates will produce potentially dangerous flooding in a short period of time.
In Floyd County, there was a report of 11 inches of rain last night and this morning.
