Proceeds from Nordic Fest 50th Anniversary book donated to Vesterheim

More than $8,000 in proceeds from the sale of the book/DVD combo created to mark the 50th anniversary of Nordic Fest has been donated to Vesterheim Museum.

Project co-chair Erik Anundsen has presented a check for $8,334.24 to Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum President/CEO Chris Johnson.  The check represents the proceeds from the sales of the commemorative book/DVD combo through the end of August.
 
Vesterheim will use the money to pay the costs of reviewing the extensive Nordic Fest archives over the next two years and properly preserving them, making them available for future researchers.
 
A limited number of copies of the book still remain and are available in the Vesterheim Museum Store.
