There are now seven Iowa Challenge Cups making their home at Decorah High School.
Representatives from Bank Iowa and the Iowa High School Sports Network Tuesday officially presented the latest Challenge Cup to Decorah High School.
The competition is a statewide scoring system based on student performances in every activity in which a school reaches a state competition, advances in a state competition, receives Division I ratings and earns academic recognition. Decorah High School scored 1,180 points in the 2015-2016 competition--185 points higher than the second place school.
Decorah High School received not just a trophy on Tuesday, but a $2,000 check from Bank Iowa to be spent as the school deems appropriate.
