New aerial ladder fire truck might arrive in Decorah in October

City of Decorah officials are hoping that the aerial ladder fire truck being sold by the City of Indianola will arrive in Decorah by the end of October.

Monday night the Decorah City Council held a public hearing on a proposal to enter into a $900,000 loan for the fire truck.  Two Decorah banks--Decorah Bank & Trust and Kerndt Brothers Bank--have agreed to partner on the loan.  It's expected the terms of the overall loan will be finalized in time for the October 3rd Decorah City Council meeting, with a mid-October closing date and a late October delivery date.
