Fort Atkinson man arrested for failing to appear to face assault charges

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a Fort Atkinson man on a charge of failing to appear in court on two criminal charges, including a charge of Assault Causing Injury.

48-year-old Kenneth Shimek was arrested Monday night and taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.  He had originally been arrested August 13th on the assault charge and a charge of 4th Degree Criminal Mischief.
