"Beer tourists" planning for latest Toppling Goliath release

"Beer tourists" are marking their calendars for another visit to Decorah.

That's because Toppling Goliath of Decorah has announced it will be holding a beer release party Saturday, October 8th, for the latest batch of its Mornin' Delight beer.  The limited production beer has been rated the #2 beer in the world by the website www.ratebeer.com.

As you can imagine, this news has created a commotion among craft been fans.  When Toppling Goliath put 500 tickets to the beer release party up for sale online, there were 80,000 computers logged onto the company's website (This figure represents computers because it's impossible to determine how many different people were on-line).  The 500 tickets were sold out in minutes.

Those who were lucky enough to get tickets will get two bottles of Mornin' Delight, a pint glass and a pour from the tap.

The Decorah City Council earlier this week approved plans for Toppling Goliath to use more of its outside area for the beer release party, so the brew pub could do a better job of handling 250 people in two different time periods.
