Groundbreaking set for September 21st for new Fairfield Inn & Suites in Decorah

Rebound Hospitality and Decorah Hotel Partners have scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for Wednesday, September 21st, for the new hotel being built on the site of the former Bluffs Inn.

The project includes a 78-room Fairfield Inn and Suites on the property as well as two additional commercial sites that could house restaurants or commercial offices.

Contractors previously demolished the Bluffs Inn and Oaks Steakhouse buildings on the site.  Next will come work to haul away rock and make the site more level.

Rebound Winneshiek owns the Hotel Winneshiek in Decorah, The Des Lux Hotel in Des Moines, Lost Lake Lodge in Lake Shore, Minnesota, and The Archer House River Inn in Northfield, MInnesota and is proposing to build another Fairfield Inn and Suites in Northfield, Minnesota.
