More flooding in Winneshiek County

The National Weather Service La Crosse Office has issued a flash flood warning for Winneshiek County until 10:15 Wednesday morning in the wake of heavy rainfall in the area.

This time the heaviest rain totals appear to have been along the Iowa/Minnesota border.  Rainfall in excess of 4 inches has been reported and the National Weather Service says another inch of rain could fall Wednesday morning.

Police have reported numerous roads south of Spring Grove are flooded.  In Allamakee County, Waterloo Creek is out of its banks.  The Steam Engine Park in Mabel has flooded.

Law enforcement officers are warning motorists to NOT drive through standing floodwaters.

--307th Avenue at Bridge 306
--143rd Avenue to Coon Creek Road -Bridges closed
--Wren Valley Road at the bridge
--Chimney Rock Road at the Bridge
--310th Avenue at Bridge 295
--County Highway W-14 South of Coldwater Creek
--275th Street Northwest of Ridgeway (between Highway 9 & 310th Avenue)
