Truck and tractor collide on Highway 52

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says a collision on Highway 52 at 220th Avenue around 1:45 August 29th caused $18,000 in damages.

23-year-old Amelia Neuzil of Spillville passed 22-year-old Kevin Durnan of Waukon just at the time Durnan was turning onto 220th Avenue on his tractor.  Neuzil collided with the front driver tires of the tractor.  Neuzil's vehicle came to rest in the south ditch. Durnan's tractor came to rest between the south ditch and the northbound lane of Highway 52, blocking traffic.

No ambulance transport was needed.  Neuzil was cited for passing too near to an intersection.
