Two-vehicle collision causes $9,500 in damages

A West Union woman has been ticketed for failure to obey a stop sign after she pulled out into the path of another car at HIghway 52 and Pulpit Rock Road around 5:30 Monday evening.

Police say Lily Poppen told them she stopped at the stop sign, but pulled out onto Highway 52 into the path of a car driven by Erick Olson of Harmony.  Olson's vehicle struck the rear driver's side of Poppen's vehicle.  The accident caused $9,500 in damages.
