Mabel resident killed in head-on traffic accident

The Iowa State Patrol says a Mable resident was killed in a head-on traffic accident on County W-40 on Tuesday evening.
29-year-old Coty Vickerman of Mabel lost control of the vehicle on County W-40 near 381st Street around 7:30 Tuesday night. The vehicle entered the southbound lane of the highway and collided head-on with a car driven by 20-year-old Damien Johnson of Mabel.
Vickerman was killed in the accident, while Johnson was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by his parents.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident is still under investigation.
