Decorah Police officers made two separate arrests early Tuesday morning.
At around 1:30 a.m. 19-year-old Peter Murry of Iowa City was discovered outside the Police Department offices, near Day Spring Lane. Police say Murry smelled heavily of alcohol and had bloodshot and watery eyes.
He was arrested on a charge of public intoxication and a charge of unlawful use of a license and was booked into the Winneshiek County Jail.
Around 4:00 a.m. officers were called to 501 Leif Erickson. When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Jonathan Kobs of Chilton, Wisconsin, passed out on a couch on the main floor of the home. Kobs did not have permission to be in the home. He was arrested on a charge of disturbing the peace and was booked into the Winneshiek County Jail.
