Both drivers charged in two-vehicle accident on 210th Street.

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies say a two-vehicle accident on 210th Street Saturday evening resulted in charges being filed against both drivers.

16-year-old Hannah Humpal of Ridgeway was westbound on 210th Street and failed to make a complete stop at the stop sign at 245th Avenue, deputies say.  She then struck a van being driven by 33-year-old Andrew Hackman of Spillville, pushing Hackman off the roadway, through a barbed wire fence.  Hackman's vehicle came to a halt in the ditch.  Humpal also went into the ditch.

Hackman was cited for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.  Humpal was ticketed for failing to yield to a through highway.

Neither driver was injured.  The accident caused $23,000 in damages.
