Bank of the West awards grant to local program

Bank of the West's Charitable Investments program has awarded a grant of $4,000 to Upper Explorerland's Northeast Iowa Regional Housing Trust Fund on behalf of Winneshiek County Development, Inc.

The money will go to benefit the organization's housing programs throughout northeast Iowa. The goal of this program is to develop, redevelop, rehabilitate and renovate single-family and multi-family homes, for both owner-occupied and rental dwellings. These funds could go to roof repair, furnace repair and replacement, energy efficiency updates, electrical and plumbing, handicap accessibility and homebuyer assistance. The NEIRHTF serves Allamakee, Clayton, Howard and Winneshiek counties.
