Winneshiek Democrats draw a crowd to their picnic

55 Democrats gathered Sunday at the farm of Deb and Rick Edwards in Decorah to enjoy the Winneshiek County Democratic Party's summer picnic.

Pat Ritter of West Union, who is running for Iowa House District 55, and Jan Heikes of Decorah, who is running for Iowa Senate District 28, spoke at the picnic, as did supervisor candidate John Lensch.  Supervisors Dean Thompson and Mark Kuhn were slated to attend, but were dealing with flood issues.
