Winneshiek Medical Center offering grief support group this fall

Winneshiek Medical Center Hospice is now accepting registration for a free eight-week Grief Support Group offered from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. beginning on Thursday, September 22.

The sessions will be held in the Home Health and Hospice meeting room in the Winneshiek Medical Center. The sessions are free and open to the public with prior registration.

"When people come to grief, they often feel a lot of support from friends and family at first, but as others go on with their lives, that support can seem harder to find," said Winneshiek Medical Center Social Worker Karen Nielsen. "One purpose of the Grief Support Group is to help provide ongoing support from others who truly understand how difficult grief can be, as well as education on navigating through the difficult grief process."
