New teachers in the Decorah School District

Wednesday is back-to-school day in the Decorah Community School District.

It's not only the start of classes for students.  For six people, it's the beginning of their teaching jobs in the school district.

Jill Christofferson has been hired as a science teacher at Decorah High School.  At Decorah Middle School, Jenny Butler is a new Special Education teacher, while Carrie Reed is a new Middle School Generalist.

Courtney Hogenson has been hired to teach 4th grade at Carrie Lee School, while Elise Bennett will be a new special education teacher at the school.

Finally, Rachelle Branum has been hired to teach art to kindergarten through 4th grade students.
