Luther College's convocation will feature author Karen Fowler

Award-winning and critically acclaimed author Karen Joy Fowler will speak about her novel "We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves" at the Luther College Opening Convocation on September 1st.
 
The college says Fowler will be the speaker at the 9:40 a.m. ceremony in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall.  The event is open to the public with no charge for admission.

"We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves" explores behavioral science, the ethics of animal research as well as animal rights, and a unique bond in a not-quite-ordinary family.

Fowler's lecture is sponsored by Luther College's Paideia program, which chose her book as this year's all-college summer reading.
