Parade marshals for the Ossian Fest Parade were local law enforcement officers

The Grand Marshals of this past weekend's Ossian Fest Parade were three local law enforcement officers.

Winneshiek County Deputy Lance Peters, who lives in Ossian, Calmar/Ossian Police Chief Joe Ward and Calmar/Ossian Police Officer Andy Hageman served as the parade leaders.

That caused the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office to publicly thank the Ossian community and organizers of the parade, saying "This show of support is appreciated by the entire law enforcement community."
