The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF), a non-profit organization with headquarters in New York City, has awarded a $2,250 grant to the Vesterheim Museum.
The award comes from ASF's Andrew E. and G. Norman Wigeland Fund and was granted to Vesterheim to help cover the costs of bringing Norwegian instructors Britt Solheim and Turid Helle Fatland to teach at the Vesterheim's Folk Art School.
The ASF offers over $500,000 in grant funding to organizations that promote firsthand exchange of intellectual and creative influence between the United States and the Nordic countries--Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
