City of Decorah receives a $975 grant

The City of Decorah has received a $975 grant from the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP), the city's property and casualty coverage provider.

ICAP grants provide up to $1,000 for the purchase of select loss control and/or risk management items, such as fire extinguishers or automated external defibrillators.

The City of Decorah submitted an application for the grant in June of this year and was awarded money from the insurance pool. The city plans to use the funds to purchase new bulletproof vests for police department  officers.
