County Board approves flashing lights for the road in front of Orleans Church

Flashing lights will be installed on County Highway W14 in the area of Orleans Church.

The Winneshiek County Board on Monday approved the request from church representative Dennis Schrage.  Church members are concerned about the speed of vehicles passing the church property

The flashing lights near the church will be activated by turning on a switch inside the church when the building is being used.

County Engineer Lee Bjerke says the project should cost around $25,000, which includes the cost of trenching to create a path for the wiring.
