Letter to the Editor #1: Nordic Fest Parade crasher

"I would like to thank Gary Rustad for his service to Nordic Fest. I don't know him, but I can imagine he has spent many hours and hours getting ready for the Nordic Fest parade. To be bombasted for one entry that was inappropriate, is totally inexcusable. I was at the parade and I thought it was very well run and enjoyable and it spoke for all the volunteers' hard work. One bad entry does not a parade make. I'm sure it was as he said, that there was no banner on the car when the float started. He has apologized and taken all the blame for the situation. What more can he do? Thank you, Gary and all the volunteers. You deserve praise."
