Decorah woman arrested for allegedly interfering with police officers

59-year-old Shirley Langland of Decorah was arrested by Decorah Police last Monday afternoon at the scene of a car-bicycle accident.

Police officers responded to the accident at Division Street and Short Street around 2:30 p.m.  Langland was told several times to leave the officers alone until they finished their investigation, according to police.  When she ignored several commands to leave the area and then opened a patrol car door in order to confront an officer inside, she was arrested and taken to the Winneshiek County Jail on a charge of Interference with Official Acts.
