Decorah baby wins "Cutest Baby Photo Contest"

Who's the cutest baby in Winneshiek County?  Isaac Hammel, the son of Jassica and Ryan Hammel of Decorah, has won the Winneshiek Medical Center Foundation's "Cutest Baby Photo Contest." 

Nearly 30 baby photos were on display during the Winneshiek County Fair—and people selected Isaac's photo as their favorite.  The Hammels won a $100 prize as a result.  Finishing second was Knute Hovey, the son of Carrie and Jason Hovey of Decorah.  The Hoveys won $50.

The contest raised over $1,200 to kick off this year's Winneshiek Medical Center Foundation's annual fundraising campaign.  Donations are designated toward the purchase of new ultrasound equipment for Winneshiek Medical Center.
