50 years--and still going strong

Crowd members waved small flags from the Nordic countries

A large crowd attended Thursday night's opening ceremonies for the 2016 Nordic Fest--the 50th anniversary of the event.

The ceremony included several favorites from past Nordic Fests, including the Nordic Dancers, Luren Singers and flag presentation.

Members of previous Nordic Fest boards were introduced as a way of recognizing how the community has supported the event over the past 50 years.
