Maize Maze in Elgin is now open

The Maize Maze, in Elgin, will be open for the season starting this Saturday.

This year's theme is "The Amazing Iowa Barns," as the maze will feature a corn-rendering of a barn.

Organizers are looking for stories about the role the barn played in the lives of people as they were growing up. Entries can be sent to CHC--Maize Maze Contest, 907 Rosa Drive, Decorah, Iowa 52101.  A prize package will be awarded to the writer of the best story.
