"Skjaldborg" combat demonstrations during Nordic Fest

Vesterheim welcomes back the re-enactment group "Skjaldborg," for this year's Nordic Fest celebration.

Originating from Elk Horn, Iowa, Skjaldborg specializes in Viking warfare and combat. With a name that means "shield wall," a Viking warfare tactic, Skjaldborg will be entertaining Nordic Fest guests with full combat demonstrations.

Visit their "Viking camp" in the Open Air Division of the Vesterheim to see how Vikings lived and died.
