Folk art demonstrations at Vesterheim throughout Nordic Fest

Folk Art School Demonstrators show of their woodworkings

Folk artists will demonstrate their traditional Norwegian crafts throughout the Vesterheim campus. Watch experts demonstrate their skills in blacksmithing, figure carving, leather work, knife making, woodworking, chair-making and more.

The Folk Art School Demonstrators will be under tents directly in front of the main Vesterheim museum building.

Norwegian folk artists Turid Helle Fatland and Britt Solheim will be showcasing their skills in rosemaling and fiber artistry, respectively.

Folk-art items will also be available for sale by various artists and organizations including Country Gallery Antiques, the Oneota Weavers and Spinners Guild, and Vesterheim Ribbon-Winning Rosemalers.
