Steam cars will tour Decorah in September

Later this summer, 20 steam cars from PrairieSteamer's in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin will be touring Northeast Iowa and Sourthwestern Wisconsin. During their trip, the cars will be spending an afternoon in downtown Decorah and plan to showcase some of their unique vehicles in Pehlps Park from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13.

Started by a University of Michigan history graduate with an interest in thermodynamics and mechanics, the PrairieSteamers are just one of many groups around the country to meet up for events which celebrate the steam engine.
