Nordic Fest 'Gnomes on the Trail' scavenger hunt begins Monday

Looking for a family-friendly activity during Nordic Fest 2016? Come down for 'Gnomes on the Trail;' a free scavenger hunt for all ages, it's the best way to burn off all the lefse and kringla.

Starting on Monday, 10 mischievous gnomes will be hiding along the Trout Run and Freeport Trails, enjoying the scenery while spying on the passing bikers and walkers. See how many you can find while exploring some of the area's most popular and newest trails.

Participants in the hunt will be eligible for raffle prizes. Bring a camera, because there will also be a photo contest for the best photograph of a gnome.

Maps and additional materials are available at the Nordic Fest Headquarters at the Winneshiek County Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
