Ask Mr. Answer Person: How is the fund drive going for the Decorah High School Stadium renovations and new scoreboard?

Mr. Answer Person contacted Associate Principal Adam Riley. He reports the fund drive is going extremely well.

"Thanks to the generosity of 109 donors we have currently raised $76,632.33.  With the help of the Decorah Viking Athletic Booster Club we are currently planning on more public recognition of those donors as the football season begins.  Anyone interested in donating to the project can contact Adam Riley at the high school as there is still time to receive recognition if donations are made by August 12th."

He adds that the project is running on schedule.

Asphalt has been completed on time and the new polyurethane surface can begin to be installed next week after the asphalt has properly cured.  The new scoreboard and sound system has arrived and should be installed by the first week of August or sooner.  

Riley is hopeful that everything should be running and fully operational for the first home football game on August 26th.
