Winneshiek Medical Center to compete again in Big Blue Dragon Boat Festival

For the second consecutive year, a team from the Winneshiek Medical Center will be racing a dragon boat at the Big Blue Dragon Boat Festival in La Crosse, WI.

A dragon boat is a traditional Chinese boat, similar to a canoe, that fits around 20 rowing-passengers.  Competing teams will race one of these boats on the Black River at Copeland Park in La Crosse.

Funds from the Big Blue Dragon Boat Festival go to promote the Center for Breast Care programs at Mayo Clinic Health System and Franciscan Healthcare in La Crosse. Last years event  raised nearly $50,000.
