Margaret's Clothing is getting new owners

The owner of Margaret's Clothing in downtown Decorah, Margaret Walter, says the store will be getting a new owner as of September 1st.

Kelli Winchester grew up in Maquoketa and attended school at Luther College.  She worked for Walter while she was at Luther and has been traveling to vendor shows with her for the last two years.

Margaret Walter has owned the women's clothing store for almost 37 years and has worked in downtown Decorah for nearly 50 years.  She says she's excited to know that Winchester will be taking over the business.  "She'll be good for Decorah," she predicts about Winchester.  "She'll be great for the community."

Kelli Winchester calls her purchase of the business "a dream come true."  She says she has always been interested in owning Margaret's.  As of September 1st, that dream will come true.
