City Personnel Committee recommends five appointments to Communications Utility Board

The City of Decorah's Personnel Committee is recommending that five people be appointed to spots on the newly-formed Communications Utility Board.

An official vote on the appointments will be taken by the Decorah City Council next Tuesday evening.  Recommended by the committee were Carolyn Corbin (1-year term); Paul Mattson (2-year term); Bruce Butters (3-year term); Anna Norris (4-year term); and Jarrad Walter (5-year term).

The new CUB will discuss whether a city communications utility ought to be formed.  The first order of business for the board is expected to be whether to hire a firm to conduct a feasibility study of the utility.
